All scripture must be taken in the context of all scripture
What sets my book(s) apart from the mass of other Christian Non-fiction books out there?
Comprehensive Context.
Not sure what that is? Let me explain...
I've read through many Christian non-fiction books, and what always irritates me is the amount of proof-texting that take place to justify the ridiculous theology most of them promote. Proof-texting is the practice of taking a single scripture, or even several, out of context and using them to prove a point. I realize that may sound like sensationalism, but I tell you, proof-texting in this genre is as ubiquitous as football in the South.
What I do is go through the entire Bible, continually, to evaluate whether the conclusions I have made are sound and fit within the overall narrative. I believe that conclusions should be avoided until you are sure that you can justify what you are saying with the context of scripture as a whole. Or, in other words...

"ALL SCRIPTURE MUST BE TAKEN IN THE CONTEXT OF ALL SCRIPTURE."
Why?
Dive into my groundbreaking book, Unrestrained, where I delve deep into the essence of living your best life. Unlike conventional approaches influenced by rigid doctrines and outdated perspectives, my work champions the true spirit of grace and truth. Say goodbye to the burdensome chains of religious obligations and experience the liberating message of freedom in Christ.
THe Pitch:
What is possible if we were to never go a day without hearing the voice of God? What if we were totally reliant on hearing the Spirit, just like Jesus? We would live lives that were free from the tyranny of anxiety, worry, and sin. We would live Unrestrained!
Imagine never feeling dull, always moving forward, having the best in life, and doing everything God has called you to.
The world is in a constant state of chaos. It is in desperate need of those who have enough faith and insight to see through the fog, cut through the lies, and infuse a peace into their surroundings that mirrors the inner calm and comfort that they enjoy with God the Father.
How do we get there, and what does that look like?
To that end, I have identified seven tenets of living life Unrestrained...

Qualifications
Sometimes people ask me how I am qualified to write a Christian book, or where I got my information from. The answer I give is always the same: the Holy Spirit. While it's true that I did take a few introductory courses from a Bible college, none of my degrees are from there, and none of the initials after my name have anything to do with formal Biblical education. No, I get revelation directly from the source - as should we all.
My writings are untainted by the influence of antiquated religious systems or the biases of old men in ivory towers. I present a genuine, relatable, and transformative perspective on faith. On the shelf next to my desk you will not find a single commentary. There are no long, weighty tomes of history or speculative texts discussing the final resting place of the ark. No, you will find Bibles, quite a few of them. Along with a few original word study books and some selectively useful third party Christian books. If you look inside my Bibles, you will find they are well-used (I make extensive use highlighters and pens during my studies). On my computer I utilize Bible study software, which also prominently features highlighters, underscores, and emphasis mark-ups. The point is I, like Paul, did not receive my revelation from man, but rather, from God (Galatians 1:11-12), and that largely by reading, and rereading, the Bible. So, if you ask what qualifies me to speak with authority on the word of God, I will tell you: the same power that rose Jesus from the grave, the same power available to all God's children; the Holy Spirit. Unrestrained is tailored for Christians, particularly those aged 20-45, my book addresses contemporary challenges and aspirations, offering a refreshing take on embracing faith outside the confines of the religious system. However, those in the agnostic or atheistic categories may find Unrestrained fixes some of the inconsistencies with modern Christianity. |
Unrestrained
Unrestrained is letting go of mediocrity to dance among the stars. It's the fulfillment of every spiritual blessing and promise God has granted to us. It's life really lived.
|
Freedom
Freedom is the condition in which we are able to fulfill the purpose and calling for which God has predestined us.
|
Thrive
To Thrive is to have an abundance of the best. Not so that you can hoard it up to yourself, but rather so that God through you can bless all those around you.
